FAQ

Common questions

How do I calculate bleed size?

Add the bleed amount to every edge. That means add bleed x 2 to the trim width and bleed x 2 to the trim height.

What bleed should I use?

Many print jobs use 3 mm or 0.125 in, but always follow the printer specification for the exact product and process.

Is bleed the same as safe area?

No. Bleed extends artwork beyond the trim edge; safe area keeps important content inside the trim so it is not cut off.

Can I share selected tool settings?

Some PixelMeasures tools keep selected presets in the URL fragment, so a shared link can reopen useful choices while the main tool page stays focused.
